March 11, 2011, waves originating in a 9.8 strength earthquake off Japan, reached the Southern Oregon coast. The aftermath of waves washed the jetties at the Mouth of the Rogue River with unbelievable force, filmed by Greg Martin, a Gold Beach resident.
